The Streamlined Comet. "Presenting the Comet. New streamlined air-conditioned train from the New York, New Haven and HartFord Railroad Co. To operate in regular service between Boston and Providence. 1935."
The Comet was a three-car, double-ended train built to run out of the cramped terminus at South Station in Boston. The double-ended design allowed it to run in both directions without being turned.
